Job summary

Robert Morris University is seeking a Director of Alumni and Donor Engagement to lead a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy and expand donor stewardship initiatives. The role focuses on building strong alumni connections, growing the donor pipeline, and supporting fundraising goals.

The position requires leadership of events, programs, and communications across campuses, with a focus on measurable outcomes and CASe standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience in higher education advancement.
• Experience with alumni relations, donor engagement, and fundraising.
• Proven success in developing and implementing strategic plans for alumni engagement and donor relations.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and supervising staff.
• Experience with donor databases (preferably Raiser’s Edge or a similar CRM).
• Ability to develop and implement strategic plans for alumni engagement and donor relations.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, planning, and execution of alumni programming at local, regional, and national levels.
• Design and manage donor recognition and stewardship programs; coordinate major donor events.
• Collaborate with Leadership Gift Officers to convert alumni into donors and support fundraising campaigns.
• Develop integrated communications plans across websites, social channels, newsletters, and direct mail.
• Partner with cross‑campus units to create alumni mentorship programs and student engagement opportunities.
• Track engagement metrics and oversee event budgets; supervise student staff when needed.
