Job summary

Bushnell University is seeking a Director of Alumni and Donor Engagement to lead the Beacon Fund for Student Scholarships and related fundraising activities. This role works with the Office of University Advancement, developing strategies for donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), 3+ years in higher education or nonprofit fundraising, and strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred or in progress.
• Minimum 3 years in higher education or nonprofit fundraising.
• Proven ability to develop and execute fundraising strategy.
• Experience planning and leading donor-focused events.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy for Beacon Fund and donor engagement initiatives.
• Solicit gifts from a portfolio of 150–175 constituents at $1,000–$10,000 levels.
• Develop outreach events, alumni gatherings, and campaign activities.
• Grow Torchbearer’s Society monthly giving participation.
• Oversee donor relations, stewardship, and communications.
