Job summary

S3 AeroDefense is seeking a Senior Manager of Strategic Alliances in the United States to own OEM partner contracts, develop growth plans, and lead reviews with key partners.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage proposal efforts, and travel for strategic reviews with OEMs, up to 50% domestic travel and limited international.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years aerospace aftermarket and/or OEM strategic relationship management experience.
  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong contract language and negotiation skills.
  • Up to 50% domestic travel, limited international

Responsibilities

  • Create value for S3 and OEM Partners.
  • Develop strategic plans and growth initiatives by OEM to drive and deliver growth.
  • Strengthen relationships with OEM Partners.
  • Drive increased sales through monthly cross-functional Voice of the Customer (VOC).
  • Maintain OEM opportunity funnel for assigned OEM portfolio.
  • Proposal Development & Management: support RFPs/RFIs, including compliance matrix development and coordination with technical and contracts staff.
  • Expand or secure additional exclusive content/agreements within the OEM portfolio.
  • Act as strategic point of contact and drive contractual performance for OEM Partner Accounts.
  • Educate internal stakeholders on OEM contracts, product lines, and how to navigate within OEMs' organizational structure.
  • Travel to OEMs to perform Strategic Business Reviews.
  • Run and analyze all contractually required reports per OEM agreements.
  • Perform periodic internal performance reviews of the OEM product lines.
  • Prepare leadership for meetings with OEM Executive Leadership at airshows or large events.
  • Work with supply chain on strategic purchases/sourcing requirements.
  • Monitor activity within OEM portfolio to ensure contract adherence.

Purpose of the Job

Responsible for managing and owning OEM business relationships/contracts to create value for the business by building strong relationships with OEM Partners, understanding the market, developing strategic growth plans, leading business reviews and owning the business aspects of OEM Partner contracts

Reports To: Director of Strategic Alliances

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Create value for S3 and OEM Partners
  • Develop strategic plans and growth initiatives by OEM to drive and deliver growth
  • Strengthen relationships with OEM Partners
  • Drive increased sales through monthly cross-functional Voice of the Customer (VOC)
  • Maintain OEM opportunity funnel for assigned OEM portfolio
  • Proposal Development & Management: Experience supporting proposal efforts in response to RFPs/RFIs, including compliance matrix development, formatting, and coordination with technical and contracts staff. Comfortable writing and editing clear, well-organized content, tracking deadlines, and supporting color team reviews
  • Expand or secure additional exclusive content/agreements within the assigned OEM portfolio
  • Act as a strategic point of contact and drive contractual performance for assigned OEM Partner Accounts
  • Educate internal stakeholders on OEM contracts, product lines, and how to navigate within OEMs'organizational structure relative to execution related issues
  • Travel to OEMs to perform Strategic Business Reviews
  • Run and analyze all contractually required reports per OEM agreements, for assigned OEM Partner Account(s)
  • Perform periodic internal performance reviews of the OEM product lines
  • Prepare S3 leadership for meetings with OEM Executive Leadership at airshows or other large events
  • Work to maintain data integrity on OEM parts within S3 ERP system
  • Act as next level of support to help solve operational issues if S3 Buyer is unable to obtain resolution
  • Work with and provide guidance to supply chain on strategic purchases/sourcing requirements
  • Monitor activity within assigned OEM portfolio to ensure contract adherence
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related field, preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in aerospace aftermarket and/or OEM strategic relationship management
  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Strong analytical skills, preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong proficiency with technology and business computer applications
  • Strong contract language and negotiation skills
  • Up to 50% domestic travel, limited international
