Job summary

Fireworks is seeking a Strategic Transactions & Partnerships Counsel to lead complex commercial deals at the intersection of procurement, partnerships, and model licensing. You will shape strategy, negotiate novel arrangements, and partner with senior stakeholders to align deals with business objectives.

The role requires a JD and US bar admission, 9+ years of experience, and a strong track record handling end-to-end, high-stakes transactions in a rapidly growing AI environment.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of complex commercial transactional experience, ideally both in law firms and in-house.
• JD with bar membership in at least one US state.
• Demonstrated track record leading procurement, partnerships and licensing deals.
• Familiarity with AI ecosystem and related legal questions.
• Strong executive presence and ability to navigate ambiguity.
• AI-forward mindset and ability to leverage AI tools to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and structure complex commercial deals, partnerships, procurement and licensing.
• Serve as the legal architect on first-of-their-kind transactions.
• Partner with executives to align deal strategy with business goals.
• Advise on commercial and strategic implications of AI landscape.
• Help build transactional infrastructure and playbooks for scaling legal functions.
