Job summary

Micro-Tronics, Inc. in Tempe, AZ is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our Supply Chain team.

You will procure materials, manage supplier relationships, monitor inventory levels, and ensure on-time delivery to support our aerospace manufacturing operations. The role requires experience in manufacturing purchasing, ERP/MRP familiarity, and the ability to collaborate across Scheduling, Production, and Finance to optimize costs and lead times.

Qualifications

• Three years minimum work experience in manufacturing/assembly.
• One year of experience in purchasing.
• Familiarity with special processing (anodize, heat treat, chem film, dry lube, passivation, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate material requirements with Scheduling, Production, Sales, and Marketing to support short-term forecasting and prepare purchase orders.
• Evaluate ERP/MRP data to determine material supply needs and keep inventory targets within limits.
• Research and evaluate new suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, and delivery capabilities.
• Track vendor delivery performance and assist in updating vendor scorecards.
• Work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoices within the pay term period.
• Ensure on-time shipments and communicate delivery issues to the appropriate department.
