Job summary

AMS Group, Inc. seeks an experienced Procurement Manager to lead procurement operations in Torrance, CA. You will direct sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of aerospace components in a highly regulated environment.

You will collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement through ERP systems and strategic stocking practices.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of procurement, planning, logistics, and supplier management.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and management skills.
• Experience with aerospace/defense compliance and government contracting (ITAR, FAR, DFARS).
• US Citizenship required.
• Ability to manage a portfolio of projects with limited travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with growth objectives and commitments.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure alignment and efficiency.
• Lead sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management across multiple product categories.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, long-term agreements, and supplier terms.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace/defense and government contracting requirements.
• Establish supplier performance metrics and conduct regular reviews.
• Identify opportunities to optimize material flow and inventory.
• Support proposal activities and risk mitigation efforts.
