Job summary

AECOM Advisory seeks a Director or Associate Director to expand our global Advisory business. Based in the US West Region (including Chicago), you will drive business development, oversee delivery, and mentor teams of consultants.

You will work with senior clients, shaping strategy and delivering high-impact insights. Responsibilities include leading proposals, coordinating cross-team technical solutions, and ensuring quality in client deliverables.

Qualifications

• BA/BS + 10 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership
• Typically at least 8 years Management Consulting or equivalent experience
• 12 years of related industry experience (preferred)
• MBA, or other Master’s degree in Operational Research, Management, Management Science, Finance, Economics, Systems Engineering and/or related fields.
• Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Strong technical skills, including experience with ArcGIS and other spatial analysis tools; quantitative programs such as R or Python
• Evaluation of financial cashflows, particularly public finance, via Excel.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development opportunities and capture initiatives across the US West Region.
• Oversee engagement delivery and support practice development.
• Lead multiple delivery teams of consultants and senior consultants across inter-dependent workstreams.
• Manage client interactions, including progress updates with C-suite and senior management.
• Coach and mentor junior staff on core consulting skills.
