Job summary

Williams in Houston seeks a Strategic Advisor to partner with senior leaders, translating complex business challenges into actionable insights and driving execution of enterprise priorities. You will define initiatives, manage risks, deliver executive-ready communications, and build dashboards to track KPIs, supporting continuous improvement across functions within a Fortune 500 environment.

This role requires 10+ years in leadership or strategic roles, strong analytical skills, and willingness

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership, operations, or strategic experience, including formal management.
  • Strong analytical capability to translate qualitative and quantitative data into insights.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives end-to-end.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for executive audiences.
  • Travel up to 50% as required.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to senior leaders, providing decision support and recommendations grounded in rigorous qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Partners with leaders to define, prioritize, and align initiatives with enterprise strategy and business objectives.
  • Leads complex, cross-functional initiatives end-to-end, managing risks, dependencies, and delivery against objectives and milestones.
  • Develops executive-ready communications and visualizations for leadership briefings and decision-making forums.
  • Evaluates current-state processes to identify opportunities for improved effectiveness and value delivery.
  • Defines, tracks, and reports on KPIs by building dashboards and analytical models for leadership visibility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

As a trusted partner to executives, the Strategic Advisor leads complex, cross functional initiatives, enables prioritization and performance management, and delivers executiveready communications that inform direction, mitigate risk, and advance organizational objectives.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
  • Serves as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to senior leaders, providing decision support and recommendations grounded in rigorous qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Partners with leaders to define, prioritize, and align functional and cross-functional initiatives with enterprise strategy and business objectives.
  • Leads complex, cross-functional initiatives end-to-end, driving stakeholder alignment, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring delivery against defined objectives, timelines, and success metrics.
  • Develops and delivers executive-ready communications, translating complex information into clear, compelling narratives and visualizations; facilitate leadership briefings and decision-making forums with confidence and executive presence.
  • Evaluates current-state processes and ways of working to identify opportunities for increased effectiveness, efficiency, and value delivery, supporting continuous improvement and change initiatives.
  • Identifies risks, opportunities, and improvement areas that enhance leadership effectiveness, operational performance and strategic execution.
  • Defines, tracks, and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) by building and maintaining dashboards, reports and analytical models that provide leaders with visibility into performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, MIS, or a related field and ten (10) years of progressive experience in leadership, operations, or strategic roles, including formal management experience.
Preferred:
  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, MIS or a related field and (15) fifteen years of Project Management, Business Transformation, Strategy/Consulting Process Improvement experience.
Other Requirements:
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills.
  • Travel up to 50% #LI-AK1
