Job summary

FreeWheel, a Comcast company, seeks a seasoned Cloud Architect to translate business outcomes into scalable architecture across Streaming Hub, DSP, and identity platforms. You will guide product and engineering with ADRs, blueprints, and roadmaps that balance speed, reliability, and cost efficiency.

You will lead design efforts for cloud-native systems, ensure data contracts and privacy patterns, and collaborate with leadership to reduce tech debt while accelerating innovation in ad tech.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software architecture/engineering
• 5+ years leading distributed, high-scale systems
• Designed/led architectures for ad serving/SSP platforms
• Experience with header bidding and SPO/OPENRTB
• Knowledge of identity & addressability (UID, clean rooms)
• Kubernetes and cloud platforms with observability
• Security and privacy patterns (OAuth/OIDC, encryption)
• API management and API security awareness
• Proven ability to turn business needs into roadmaps and blueprints

Responsibilities

• Serve as architecture interface between Product and Engineering for Streaming Hub, DSP, Identity, Measurement platforms.
• Produce Solution Blueprints, ADRs, and reference architectures balancing speed and maintainability.
• Guide roadmaps and migration plans to deliver business value and reduce technical debt.
• Provide hands-on design leadership for cloud-native systems (Kubernetes, microservices).
• Shape data contracts, identity, consent, measurement standards across workflows.
• Lead strategic initiatives to reduce tech debt and improve quality and velocity.
• Review designs produced internally and by third parties; de-risk delivery with PoCs.
