Job summary

Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI seeks an Associate Director of Admission to lead data-driven recruitment and planning for first-year enrollment. The role covers travel, analytics, and strategic planning in support of the Undergraduate Admission Department.

The ideal candidate will manage a caseload of applications, build relationships with high school counselors and international partners, and oversee staff and recruitment initiatives to meet institutional goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in student services or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of progressive admission and/or higher education experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation with the ability to convey and obtain information amongst a variety of audiences such as students, parents, alumni and staff.
• Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines and adept at shifting skills to accommodate changing priorities with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel 30-40% of the time.
• Ability to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-level data collection and analysis for geographic responsibilities of the Freshman Admission team.
• Report on trends, benchmarking, territory analysis, and student search analysis.
• Create and develop an annual strategic recruitment plan for first-year enrollment.
• Attract students from assigned geographic area by visiting high schools, college nights, fairs, and giving presentations.
• Establish relationships with high school counselors and independent counselors to grow prospect base.
• Collaborate with international recruitment efforts and engagement with guidance counselors and agents in the U.S.
• Review a caseload of applications and make admission decisions per policy.
• Develop relationships with admitted students, advising on degree requirements and campus life.
• Serve as a primary liaison for admission visitors and maintain flexible office hours for engagement.
• Develop a training program and staff scheduling; supervise and evaluate performance.
• Participate in University committees and lead recruitment-related initiatives.
• Prepare student applications for reviews and early admission decisions; work under time constraints.
• Assist in other admission matters and support enrollment management events.
