Job summary

The NYC Department of Transportation is seeking an Administrative Project Manager to lead the Roadway Repair and Maintenance Division. You will oversee a team of over 50 staff across Resource Management, Administration, and Technical Services, guiding procurement, budgeting, and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, construction management, urban planning, public administration, or related field with five years of full-time experience in planning, administering or expediting engineering design or large projects, two of which in a supervisory capacity.
• Alternative: high school diploma with nine years of experience, two in supervisory capacity; or education/experience equivalent as described.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 50+ employees across Resource Management, Administration, and Technical Services, Innovation and Quality Assurance.
• Manage procurement, budgeting, and spending oversight of over $285M in expense funding and over $280M in capital funding.
• Interface with NYC agencies and internal divisions; lead automation initiatives and ensure document integrity.
• Direct reporting to Deputy Commissioner and represent the division in absence of leadership.
