Job summary

New York City Department of Transportation seeks an Assistant Commissioner for the Roadway Repair and Maintenance Division to lead administrative operations, oversee more than 50 staff across Resource Management, Administration, and Technical Services, Innovation and Quality Assurance, and manage procurement and spending for over $285M in expenses and capital funding.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree with progressive administrative experience or equivalent.
• Experience directing budgeting, procurement, and resource allocation in a large organization.
• Supervisory experience over staff performing administrative work of varying difficulty.

Responsibilities

• Oversee division-wide budgeting, fiscal reporting, procurement, and capital project planning.
• Direct human resources, fiscal management, training, safety, and facilities for 1,400+ employees.
• Interface with city agencies and internal DOT units, driving accountability and efficiency.
