Job summary

PacificSource seeks an experienced pricing actuary to lead actuarial pricing and related services. You will develop premium rates for Commercial and Medicare Advantage, file rates, and guide pricing model development.

Lead a team of actuaries and analysts, oversee hiring and performance, and coordinate with underwriting, product development, sales and finance. The role requires extensive actuarial experience (6+ years) and management experience, with a strong background in health actuarial work

Qualifications

• Six years actuarial experience and three years of management experience required.
• Health experience preferred.
• Baccalaureate degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or related field; SOA Fellow status and AA actuary membership.

Responsibilities

• Develop organization premium rates for Commercial and Medicare Advantage bids with actuarial soundness.
• Prepare rate filings, supporting exhibits, and actuarial certifications.
• Direct development and maintenance of pricing models coordinating with other departments.
• Provide leadership to a team of actuaries and analysts; oversee hiring and performance.
• Support budgeting, risk adjustment analysis, and year-end actuarial opinions.
