Job summary

The Credit Union of Colorado Foundation is seeking an experienced accounting leader to manage day-to-day operations, oversee the monthly close, and strengthen internal controls in support of GAAP and regulatory requirements. This role collaborates with senior leaders to resolve issues, implement processes, and ensure financial integrity.

This position also involves preparing regulatory reports, mentoring staff, and driving process improvements to keep the organization financially sound while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; seven years of accounting experience with at least two in leadership.
• Experience in financial services required; CPA preferred.
• Knowledge of Jack Henry products (Symitar, ProfitStar) and Concur desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close including journal entries, fixed assets, prepaids, and variance explanations.
• Manage accounting for investment and derivatives portfolios.
