Job summary

Superior Essex Communications is seeking an Accountant to support monthly close, journal entries and GAAP/IFRS reporting in a manufacturing environment. You will analyze variances, assist auditors, and maintain general ledger accounts.

The role requires a bachelor’s in accounting and 2+ years of accounting experience, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail. Manufacturing experience is preferred; ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• 2+ years of accounting experience in a medium to large organization.
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• GAAP and IFRS experiences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports)
• Prepare and/or review monthly account reconciliations.
• Prepare consolidation and management reports.
• Interact with internal and external auditors and assist with related deliverables.
• Perform account balance change analysis to identify and account for irregularities.
• Maintain Chart of Accounts and other meta data in consolidation system
• Prepare Lease accounting schedules and entries in compliance with GAAP and IFRS
• Liaise with FP&A department and align financial data.
