Belcan Corporation is seeking an Accountant Analyst at the Devens, MA site to support growth and profitability with strong analytical and business partnering skills. The role reports to the Devens/Naples Accounting Manager and focuses on safeguarding assets and producing accurate financial reports in accordance with GAAP.

Responsibilities include budgeting, internal control oversight, financial reporting, and continuous improvement of accounting processes across the Devens site, which generates

Qualifications

• BS degree in accounting, finance, or economics.
• 2-5 years of experience in general and cost accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP, CAS and FAR.
• Proficiency with automated accounting systems, spreadsheets and common software.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports; communicate with stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare general ledger entries, asset, liability and capital accounts.
• Summarize financial status with balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Prepare diverse financial reports by analyzing account information and trends.
• Reconcile discrepancies and perform economic research on financial data.
• Support management with accounting information to drive business decisions.
• Maintain controls by auditing compliance with policies and procedures.
• Mentor less experienced staff and participate in special projects.
