Job description

Strategic Account Manager - Mountain West / Southwest

Position Overview

Travere Therapeutics is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Strategic Account Manager (SAM) to lead strategic alignment with healthcare organizations focusing on rare glomerular diseases such as IgA nephropathy and FSGS. This field-based role involves developing long-term partnerships with Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), Academic Centers of Excellence, and large nephrology group practices to advance clinical pathways, value-based care, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities
  1. Account Strategy & Engagement: Lead planning and execution, prioritize key accounts, and develop tailored engagement plans.
  2. Customer Engagement: Build relationships with healthcare leaders, facilitate collaborative clinical pathway development, and identify access and diagnosis opportunities.
  3. Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the main contact across internal teams, coordinate business planning, and track key metrics.
  4. Insights & Impact: Communicate actionable insights, track account metrics, and report progress.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees preferred.
  • At least 8 years in pharma, biotech, or healthcare, with experience in nephrology or rare diseases preferred.
  • Proven strategic account management and healthcare engagement experience.
Skills & Requirements
  • Deep understanding of value-based care and healthcare ecosystems.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills at the executive level.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to work face-to-face with customers and meet credentialing requirements.
