You’ve grown markets before. Ready to do it again – in your own way? As Strategic Account Manager Coatings & Sealants at Holland Colours, you’ll lay the foundation of our next US growth story. The challenge? You’re building something from the ground up. That means opening conversations with unfamiliar buyers, navigating long sales cycles, and educating the market on a new way of working. In return, you’ll be rewarded with a salary of up to $90k, profit share potential (equivalent to up to 1.5 months' salary), a company car, and a credit card to cover all travel expenses.

What will you be doing?

As Strategic Account Manager at Holland Colours, you take the driver’s seat in expanding our coatings & sealants business in North America. You sell a proposition that’s as bold as it is valuable: solid and liquid colorants for coatings and sealants that transform production. Our product line offers a radically faster and more efficient manufacturing process. For your customers, that means fewer steps, faster turnaround, and real cost savings.

You will identify, approach, and convert industrial coatings manufacturers, from well-known giants to high-potential mid-size players. Your target? Technical directors, plant managers, R&D engineers facing production friction. Your efforts will be split between new business development and strategic account management, with up to 60% travel to meet clients face-to-face. Your responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, engaging, and converting industrial coatings and sealants manufacturers into long-term customers;
  • Building and managing a pipeline of opportunities;
  • Forecasting sales, owning budget planning, and reporting on performance against targets;
  • Collaborating with product development to tailor solutions to customer needs;
  • Working with marketing to shape campaigns and increase visibility;
  • Representing Holland Colours at industry events and trade shows.

Each Account Manager is paired with a dedicated Customer Service Representative (CSR) who handles operational tasks like processing orders and tracking production, allowing you to focus on the commercial relationship.

This role reports directly to the US Sales Manager and involves collaboration within the broader Building & Construction team of 14 colleagues. While remote, regular team meetings and virtual roundtables ensure ongoing communication and support.

Success as a Strategic Account Manager requires a hunter mentality, persistence, and the ability to build relationships from scratch. You should be comfortable asking the right questions, collaborating with product teams, and managing your own time remotely. Key qualifications include:

  • Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in industrial coatings, sealants, or related manufacturing sectors;

  • Comfort managing remote work and results accountability;
  • Enthusiasm, drive, and commitment to outcomes;
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% across North America.
