Job summary

Dekko is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to lead our largest OEM accounts, build executive relationships, and drive profitable growth aligned with long-term strategy. You will work with engineering, product management, operations, marketing, and customer service to identify opportunities and deliver value.

Responsibilities

  • Own the overall commercial strategy, growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction for the company's largest strategic OEM account(s).
  • Develop and maintain relationships across procurement, engineering, product management, operations, manufacturing, and leadership teams.
  • Lead annual business planning, strategic account reviews, and customer business reviews.
  • Identify, qualify, and commercialize new product opportunities aligned with customer roadmaps and future platform development.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to develop technical solutions that differentiate the company and create competitive advantage.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to ensure flawless execution of launches, supply continuity, quality improvements, and customer initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends, customer performance, competitive activity, and financial results to develop strategic growth recommendations.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, contract discussions, and long-term partnership agreements.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer while balancing business objectives and profitability.
  • Deliver sustainable revenue growth, margin expansion, and strategic market penetration through disciplined account management and innovation leadership.

Job description

The Strategic Account Manager serves as the primary business leader for the company's largest and most strategic OEM account(s). This role is responsible for developing executive-level customer relationships, driving profitable growth, and executing strategic account plans that align with customer objectives and the company's long-term business strategy.

Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Marketing, and Customer Service, the Strategic Account Manager identifies and commercializes new product opportunities aligned with customer roadmaps and market trends. A strong technical aptitude is essential to understand customer applications, product requirements, and manufacturing processes, enabling the development of innovative, value-driven solutions.

The Strategic Account Manager leverages market intelligence, customer insights, and business analytics to identify growth opportunities, strengthen strategic partnerships, and provide data-driven recommendations that support commercial success and long-term value creation.

Location: Remote/Hybrid/In office (Depending on candidate location)

About you:
  • OEM, Technical sales experience required. Electrical systems experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience utilizing custom solutions approach
  • Ability to travel est. 35-40%
Education, Certificates & or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7 plus years of progressive experience in strategic account management, business development, or technical sales, preferably serving OEM customers.
  • Experience managing large, complex strategic accounts with a demonstrated history of growing revenue and building executive-level customer relationships.
  • Experience collaborating with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, and Supply Chain to deliver customer solutions and commercialize new products.
