As a Strategic Account Executive, you will be the face of Cigna to clients. Your focus will be on building relationships through in-person meetings, addressing client issues, and selling renewal rate increases along with new products to expand the relationship. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients navigate their business challenges and opportunities with strategic insights to ensure an exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Client Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor, cultivating strong relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders.
  2. Industry Expertise: Understand your clients’ businesses, industries, and challenges; offer tailored recommendations.
  3. Relationship Building: Engage with decision-makers and influencers to ensure Cigna’s voice is heard and valued.
  4. Market Insights: Keep clients informed about industry trends and leverage Cigna’s solutions accordingly.
  5. Financial & Underwriting Expertise: Guide clients on managing costs, demonstrate the value of solutions, and offer proactive, creative solutions.
  6. Portfolio Management: Drive growth, earnings, and retention; expand relationships through cross-selling.
  7. Collaboration: Work with underwriting teams to ensure alignment and tailored solutions.
  8. Client Experience: Oversee service requests, ensuring swift resolution.
  9. Channel Management: Manage partner relationships to align client budgets and resources.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-3+ years of experience in health benefits or client management
Skills:
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship skills
  • Proven ability to manage and grow client relationships
  • Experience in sales, marketing, underwriting, or operations (preferred)
  • Financial acumen for identifying growth opportunities
  • Experience managing large, complex client accounts with focus on relationship-building and revenue growth

This role may be eligible for an incentive compensation plan.
