Job summary

CVS Health is seeking aStrategic Account Executive (SAE) to own the overall account strategy, renewal outcomes, and executive relationships for a defined portfolio of large, complex employer PBM clients. This senior individual contributor role focuses on judgment, clarity, and data‑informed decisions, not day-to-day service execution.

The SAE will lead renewal strategy, guide financial decisions, and partner with client and consultant stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of healthcare or managed care experience.
• Experience leading complex renewals and pricing discussions.
• Ability to translate financial information into clear recommendations.
• Comfort engaging with senior client and consultant stakeholders.
• Exercises sound judgment under pressure and ambiguity.
• Understands the economic and operational realities of PBM delivery.
• Strong digital and AI fluency, with the ability to apply advanced tools to complex judgment and client decision making.

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-year account strategy for assigned clients.
• Lead renewal strategy and negotiations with underwriting, legal and finance.
• Develop and present recommendations on pricing, guarantees, and solution design.
• Identify growth opportunities aligned to client goals and market opportunities.
• Maintain working knowledge of account economics including drug trend, pricing, rebates, and guarantees.
