Job summary

The Freeman Company is seeking an Account Director to lead marketing strategy translation into high-performing campaigns. You will own client relationships, guide campaigns from kickoff to delivery, and supervise an internal team focused on results and profitability.

Hybrid work schedule with in-office/show-site presence 2-3 days per week; location options include Alexandria, VA; Washington, DC; Chicago, IL; San Diego, CA. Bachelor’s or higher in marketing or related field preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of marketing experience required.
• 5+ years marketing experience strongly preferred.
• Agency, B2B event and/or association experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, psychology or general business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the account strategist to bring the client’s marketing strategy to life daily.
• Lead client presentations and meetings, translating strategy into a clear point of view.
• Direct primary and secondary research and persona development to sharpen plans.
• Guide the creative team through brand identity and message platform development.
• Build campaign performance benchmarking, monitor results, and flag course corrections.
