Strategic Account Coordinator

Job Locations: US-MO-Kansas City | US-KS-Kansas City

Overview

Under general direction, this position acts as a liaison between national account customers and Ferrellgas locations that serve them. Requires a high school diploma (bachelor's degree preferred) with 3+ years related experience. Local to Kansas City is preferred. Training will be held in-person initially, then the position will be remote.

Responsibilities
  • Supports a portfolio of 100+ national account contracts throughout their lifecycle, including renewals, additions, and closures.
  • Serves as the main contact for assigned contracts, handling customer inquiries via phone and email.
  • Manages daily email correspondence, responding to customer concerns and questions promptly (typically 100+ emails daily).
  • Anticipates customer needs and proactively identifies solutions, collaborating with internal and external contacts to ensure accuracy.
  • Leads occasional conference calls with team members and customers.
  • Maintains accurate contract files, including original documents, correspondence, and amendments.
  • Produces reports weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually using Excel.
  • Works independently and collaboratively, managing competing deadlines effectively.
  • Employs problem-solving techniques daily and communicates escalated issues appropriately to management.
  • Assists the National Accounts Team as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of project management and/or contract experience preferred.
  • Propane industry experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, with strong time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook; PeopleSoft experience is a plus.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong public speaking skills required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
