Strategic Account Coordinator

Job Locations: US-MO-Kansas City | US-KS-Kansas City

Overview

Under general direction, this position acts as a liaison between national account customers and Ferrellgas locations that serve them. Requires a high school diploma (bachelor's degree preferred) with 3+ years related experience. Local to Kansas City is preferred. Training will be held in-person initially and then the position will be remote.

Responsibilities
  • Support a portfolio of 100+ national account contracts throughout their lifecycle, including renewals, additions, and closures.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned contracts, responding to customer questions and requests via phone and email.
  • Manage email inbox daily, responding to customer concerns in a timely manner, with high email volume (~100+ emails/day).
  • Anticipate customer needs and proactively identify solutions, working closely with internal and external contacts to ensure accuracy.
  • Facilitate and lead conference calls with internal teams and customers as needed.
  • Maintain accurate contract files on internal servers, including original documents, correspondence, and amendments.
  • Produce reports weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually using Excel.
  • Work independently and collaboratively, managing competing deadlines effectively.
  • Employ problem-solving techniques daily and communicate escalated issues appropriately to management.
  • Assist the National Accounts Team as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or similar preferred.
  • 2+ years project management and/or contract experience preferred.
  • Propane industry experience is a plus but not required.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, with strong time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook; PeopleSoft experience preferred.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent public speaking skills required.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
