Job summary

Sunward Steel Buildings Group is seeking a Third-Party Procurement Specialist to manage a portfolio of vendor relationships across external manufacturers and suppliers. You will oversee pricing, lead times, and contracts while ensuring quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.

Responsibilities include end-to-end procurement, onboarding new vendors, and maintaining vendor performance data. Strong communication, independent judgment, and process discipline are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vendor management, procurement, supply chain in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments.
• Ability to manage multiple vendor relationships and concurrent purchase orders with competing priorities.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of favorable vendor agreements.
• Experience with procurement and purchase order management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and commercial conversations.
• High level of independent judgment and ability to drive work to completion without close supervision.
• Strong process orientation—builds systems, documents workflows, and maintains disciplined records.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for Sunward’s 3P manufacturers, suppliers, and logistics partners; build long-term relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, terms, and contracts with vendors; collaborate with leadership for favorable terms.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors; perform due diligence on quality systems, capacity, and financial stability.
• Maintain a comprehensive vendor database with contact info, pricing, and performance history.
• Manage end-to-end procurement from requisition to delivery validation and close-out.
