Job summary

Pine Hall Brick is seeking a reliable team member to unload cars of brick and shapes efficiently and safely. You will develop strong knowledge of the unloading operation as well as the strapping station, including the MHT 80 and Z20 Signode strappers.

You will communicate with supervision about production, quality and safety issues and participate in weekly TPM and 5S as outlined by management. Willingness to learn, operate all unloading equipment, and adapt to shift needs is required; you will

Qualifications

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must follow safety procedures including LO/TO.
• Ability to learn and operate unloading equipment.
• Willingness to work off-hours or shifts if necessary.

Description

You will be part of a team that works together to efficiently and safely unload all cars of brick and shapes. You will need to develop a strong knowledge of entire unloading operation as well as the strapping station, which includes the MHT 80 and Z20 Signode strappers. You must be willing to learn and operate all unloading equipment efficiently, at desired rates with minimum downtime. You will communicate with supervision about production, quality and safety issues. Weekly TPM and 5S as outlined by management.

Requirements

• Maintain safe and clean work area to avoid personal injury and/or property damage.
• Must maintain established production levels on strapping station equipment or other equipment if assigned
• Use proper safety equipment and procedures including LO/TO
• Must maintain a high level of cube quality and ensure all cubes are tagged correctly
• Ability to understand computers as they relate to unloading process.
• Ability to make machine and strapping head adjustments daily.
• Ability to make fast and efficient brick size and style changes
• Ability to use hand tools to perform minor repairs, preventive maintenance and machine changeovers.
• Must possess basic knowledge of transfer cars and haulage systems.
• Ability and willingness to help in other positions when needed.
• Ability to work off hours or shifts if necessary

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to twist, stoop, climb and bend regularly.
• Hardhat, safety glasses, steel toe shoes and ear plugs etc. required.
