Job summary

American Heavy Plates in Ohio seeks a skilled general labor/operator to flame-cut steel plates using a CNC burning machine and portable track torch. You will layout, trace, square torches, and ensure dimensional accuracy while following safety protocols.

You will also complete inspections, document results in ERP, maintain equipment, and perform related duties as assigned, with welding/torch experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Welding / torch experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Confirm plate meets dimensional requirements.
• Fill out and record all inspections forms and record in ERP system.
• Clean and maintain equipment.
• All duties of General Labor/Operator A as assigned.

• Read job orders/prints for layout.
• Layout dimensions on material per customer specification.

Job description

Job Qualifications

Physical Demands

• Standing for long period of times

• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Rolling Mill and Steel Service Center environment
• Work in hot and cold temperatures

Work Schedule Shifts

• Operations of 24/7 - Any shift
