Job summary

Downtown Seattle Association is seeking a Communications Advisor to support Commute Seattle’s nationally recognized Transportation Demand Management program. The role focuses on creating engaging content for newsletters, blogs, email campaigns, events, and social media to promote transit and sustainable mobility.

You will work with the Executive Director and Deputy Director to develop strategic communications, measure KPIs, and support media relations and campaigns in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Excellent writing and editing skills; ability to adapt tone for multiple audiences.
• Ability to write for a variety of channels and audiences.
• Ability to synthesize technical information for a non-expert audience.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven, collaborative environment.
• Familiarity with email campaign tools and content management systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience working with multicultural communities or diverse stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, curate, and produce content for newsletters, blog, website, and social media.
• Monitor and maintain content on the website and recommend improvements.
• Manage routine email list maintenance and tagging of contacts.
• Draft and publish educational blog content and event listings using WordPress.
• Develop themes and content for monthly resource one-sheets and case studies.
• Research and write case studies on employer programs and TDM strategies.
• Assist with writing/editing internal communications projects as needed.
