Job summary

A family attraction company is seeking a Retail Lead to manage operations in one or more retail locations. Responsibilities include supervising hosts, managing inventory, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring store compliance with policies. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of retail experience and possess strong leadership and communication skills. Qualifications

• 1+ years of previous retail and/or supervisor experience is desired.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

We firmly believe that words and actions matter, which is why all individuals are to be treated equally and with respect.The Retail Lead is responsible for managing operations of one or more retail locations including training, accountability, visual merchandising, inventory controls, sales associates duties and quality controls.**We are currently looking for a:**Story Land - Retail Lead (Seasonal)**Roles & Responsibilities:****Roles & Responsibilities:****Supervisory Duties:*** Assist with the daily supervision of the Retail and Rentals hosts and any other assigned departments* Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Story Land’s core values* Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned hosts* Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all retail and rental positions and backfill these positions when needed* Assist with onboarding and training hosts on how to safely and successfully perform their jobs* Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with New Hampshire law* Assist with hosts scheduling and timekeeping activities**Departmental Duties:*** Welcome and greet all guests as they enter retail locations* Perform opening and closing procedures of assigned unit(s) including daily cleanup.* Manage inventory levels by completing daily stocking of all gift shops, checking orders, and moving inventory from other shops* Ensure a variety of items are available for guests to purchase and that store shelves are fully stocked* Proactively communicate inventory needs to Retail Manager before items are sold out* Collaborate with Retail Manager to merchandise stores and improve product sales* Ensure hosts are adhering to departmental and company policies (theft of merchandise/counterfeit training/etc.)* Monitors cashier activities to ensure continuous accuracy and compliance with POS procedures.* Ensure merchandise and retail supplies are well stocked and organized* Maximize unit visual merchandising standards.* Maintains cleanliness of store areas including exteriors.* Manages inventory, focusing on stock par levels, shrink and waste controls.* Be on alert for possible theft* Reports maintenance or safety concerns to a supervisor or manager in a timely manner* All other duties assigned by leadership**Education & Experience:*** No education required* 1+ years of previous retail, point of sale, and/or supervisor experience is desired.**Language:** Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.**Requirements:*** Must be at least 16 years of age to comply with New Hampshire Child Labor Laws* Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays* Must have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift* Ability to comply with all uniform policies* Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner* Ability to positively engage with guests to promote sales and customer satisfaction* Previous experience with Point of Sale (POS) technology and PCI compliance a plus* Ability to follow direction, multi-task, and work as part of a team as well as independently**Physical Requirements:*** Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday* Ability to frequently stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders* Ability to use a step ladder in a safe and proper manner* Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 40 pounds or more**Working Conditions:*** This role will be based in one or more retail locations throughout the park, with exposure to both indoor and outdoor environments* Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain and other weather conditions* Some exposure to dust and chemical cleaning agents* Subject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activitiesWorking at Story Land is about making people happy!
