Job summary

Story Land in New Hampshire seeks a full-time Carpentry Maintenance Technician to maintain buildings, perform repairs, and support safety and SOPs across park facilities.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma and at least 1 year in facilities maintenance; amusement-park experience is a plus. The role requires working evenings, weekends, and holidays in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and inspect buildings, siding, structures, roofing, drywall, etc., and provide maintenance.

• Work with Maintenance to assist in building repairs.
• Evaluate and inspect plumbing and interior lighting; perform repairs as needed.
• Assist with water meter inspection and repair.

Story Land – Carpenter (Full Time)

The Carpentry Maintenance Technician assists in the Maintenance of all buildings including, but not limited to: carpentry, repair and maintenance, preventative maintenance, service calls, and adherence to all safety, park and departmental policies.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluates and inspects buildings, siding, structures, roofing, drywall, etc, and provides maintenance when needed.
• Responsible for planning materials needed for project completion and repairs.
• Works with Maintenance to assist in building repairs.
• Evaluates and inspects building plumbing and interior lighting. Provides repairs when needed.
• Helps to Inspect and repair water meters.
• Helps to provide winterization to building water systems including seasonal housing.
• Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed.
• Communicate updates to supervisor on current work orders.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Other duties as requested

Experience

Must possess 1 year of facilities building maintenance. Previous experience with commercial facilities or amusement parks a plus.

Must be 18 years or older.

Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must be able to work in all weather conditions and elements including the direct sun with no shade, cold, rain, dust, and all other outdoor weather elements.

Must be able to stand, kneel, walk, stoop, and bend.

Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 75lbs.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Must possess the physical capabilities necessary to perform the job duties.
