Job summary

Daystar Television Network is seeking a full-time Video Editor and Social Media Content Creator to turn thoughtful conversations into engaging episodes and clips for social media. You will edit long-form episodes, identify shareable moments, and craft visuals with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.

The role requires strong storytelling, pacing, and the ability to pull impactful insights from interviews while delivering polished content for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and more.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience editing long-form video and creating short-form social content.
• Portfolio showing storytelling, pacing, motion graphics, and edits for different platforms.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple deliverables.
• Able to receive feedback and work collaboratively from raw footage to final delivery.

Responsibilities

• Edit full-length video episodes with pacing, transitions, and substantial conversations.
• Select camera angles and integrate footage and graphics where useful.
• Create motion graphics and on-screen elements in After Effects.
• Create final exports for YouTube and other channels.
• Review deliverables for quality, captions, spelling, and consistency.
• Organize project files and assets for easy reuse by the team.
• Identify hooks and resonant moments within episodes.
• Produce short-form videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and more.
• Add captions, motion graphics, music, and framing while preserving the guest’s intent.
• Create previews, launch clips, and evergreen highlights.
• Collaborate with Rebecca, producers, and the media team on episode priorities.
