Job summary

The State of Alaska is seeking an Environmental Program Manager 2 to supervise the Storm Water & Wetlands section of the Wastewater Discharge Authorization Program. You will oversee permitting, compliance, stormwater controls, and public education to prevent pollution.

Position open across Anchorage, Juneau, Fairbanks, Wasilla, or Soldotna with statewide responsibilities and telework options for those who qualify.

Qualifications

• This job class uses competency based minimum qualifications; ensure your application demonstrates KSAs and competencies.
• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in environmental, physical, biological, or natural science; engineering; planning; or natural resources.
• Experience managing delivery of environmental program services and supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Stormwater & Wetlands Section; oversee permitting, regulatory compliance, and education to prevent pollution.
• Coordinate statewide wastewater discharge permits and related program activities.
• Supervise professional staff and collaborate with industry, agencies, and the public.
