Job summary

Foster Lake & Pond Management, part of the Bland Landscaping Family, seeks an Aquatics Stormwater Technician I in Coastal Carolina's region to learn and support day-to-day operations. You will gain hands-on experience in aquatic and stormwater management, safety, and customer service while aligning with company values.

As an entry-level role, you will receive training across maintenance, equipment, software systems, and field services, with certification targets and professional development

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist and train in all areas of FLPM operations, including Preventative Maintenance, Construction and Repair Services, Retail Operations, and Corrective Maintenance.
• Demonstrate continuous progress and receive positive performance feedback across assigned operational functions.
• Learn basic equipment maintenance procedures and achieve proficiency on all required tasks by the end of the first year.
• Learn facility maintenance procedures and achieve proficiency on all required tasks by the end of the first year.
• Perform fieldwork associated with aquatic management, stormwater management, pond maintenance, and related environmental services.
• Accurately utilize company timekeeping software and clock into assigned jobs.
• Check and respond to Outlook emails daily during workdays.
• Learn and effectively utilize HR software within three months.
• Become proficient in the company vehicle maintenance system and complete vehicle inspections within six months.
• Review and maintain updates on the company calendar daily.
• Complete required documentation, reports, and digital records accurately and on time.
• Successfully complete Stormwater Control Measure (SCM) Inspection and Maintenance Professional Certification within the first year.
• Obtain North Carolina Aquatic Pesticide Applicator Certification within the first year.
• Participate in at least one company-sponsored training annually.
• Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.
• Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, vendors, and team members.
• Provide at least two pieces of constructive feedback monthly through the feedback software.
• Respond to company emails within two business days.
• Respond to company calls and text messages during working hours.
• Complete HR-related tasks by established deadlines.

Position Summary

The Aquatics Stormwater Technician I is an entry-level field position responsible for learning and supporting the operational aspects of Foster Lake & Pond Management (FLPM). This role focuses on developing knowledge of aquatic and stormwater management practices, company policies and procedures, equipment operation, software systems, and customer service standards. The Technician I will actively support all areas of the business while demonstrating a commitment to FLPM's Core Values, Vision, safety culture, and continuous professional development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Learn and effectively utilize the company's Human Resources software platform within the first three months.

• Become proficient in the company vehicle maintenance system and complete vehicle inspections within the first six months.

• Review and maintain updates on the company calendar each workday.

• Complete required documentation, reports, and digital records accurately and on time.

Training and Professional Development

• Successfully complete Stormwater Control Measure (SCM) Inspection and Maintenance Professional Certification within the first year of employment.

• Successfully obtain North Carolina Aquatic Pesticide Applicator Certification within the first year of employment.

• Participate in and complete at least one company-sponsored training program annually.

• Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.
