Job summary

Arcadis invites a Stormwater/Stream Restoration Engineer to join our Resilience Water Team, with options in Fairfax, Richmond, or Washington DC. You will lead stream restoration design, modeling, and permitting efforts and collaborate with clients and regulatory agencies.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and help drive project delivery from concept through construction, including field work and client meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Biological Systems, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in stream restoration, natural channel design, or related water resources engineering.
• EIT or PE license required.
• Experience with Rosgen methods, BEHI/NBS is a plus and familiarity with nutrient reduction programs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, design, permit, and manage stream restoration projects.
• Lead tasks and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Support permitting efforts and compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
• Travel for field work, site assessments, and client meetings.
