Job summary

Jacobs in Key West, FL is seeking a Storm Water/Collections Operator to support the operation and maintenance of the municipal collection system on an assigned shift. You will operate equipment such as backhoe, AquaTech, and dump truck, perform trenchwork, line repairs, and inspect flowing conditions to keep services uninterrupted.

This role requires a valid driver's license and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license with no major infractions.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ideally, courses in collection systems.
• Knowledge of collection systems and tools, equipment and materials used to maintain and repair the system.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment including backhoe, AquaTech, and dump truck.
• Install new lines, adjust manhole covers, and frame replacement.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain flowing conditions; patch streets and sidewalks.
• Complete work orders and field complaint forms; assist with safety and team coordination.
• Ensure safety, health, and well-being of the team on all duties.
