Job summary

City of Carrollton is seeking a Maintenance Worker II to perform general labor and maintenance tasks across streets, drainage, and water utilities projects. You will operate a range of light to medium equipment, maintain sites, and ensure safety and quality on public works sites.

Responsibilities include communication with customers, completing routine reports, and responding to on-call emergencies. A Class A CDL and basic education are required, with opportunities for growth in a dynamic

Qualifications

Class A Commercial Driver’s License required.
Eighth grade education required.
One year of related maintenance or construction experience preferred.
TCEQ occupational licensing preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform specialized maintenance work in assigned area.
Communicate effectively with customers.
Install, maintain, and repair concrete, asphalt, signs, grounds, and related items.
Operate light to medium construction and maintenance equipment.
Complete logs and simple reports on materials and equipment.
Follow safety procedures and secure work sites.
Set up traffic warning devices and direct traffic around work sites.
Prepare and clean up work sites.
Attend meetings and training sessions.
