Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking a Maintenance Worker III to perform skilled labor in cleaning, maintenance, and repair of streets, storm drains, sewers, and public facilities across Dallas. A valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record is required, with CDL-B and TCEQ license potential for some departments.

Qualifications

• Three years of maintenance and labor experience.
• Ability to read maps and mapping apps.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of streets, drains, water/sewer mains, and facilities.
• Operate equipment and tools for repairs and construction.
• Load/unload materials and transport tools to work sites.
• Flag traffic and set safety devices for crew and public safety.
• Digs trenches, grades and cleans debris; supports landscaping tasks.
• Inspect facilities and safety equipment; report issues to supervisor.
• Adhere to safety, disposal, and inventory guidelines.
