Job summary

Pasco County in Florida is seeking an Infrastructure Inspector to perform condition assessments of stormwater drainage systems and gather data for maintenance planning. The role includes operating CCTV inspection equipment and related software, preparing diagnostic reports, and recommending repairs while upholding MOT and OSHA safety standards.

The position requires lifting up to 80 pounds and working outdoors, with reading plans and permits as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
• Four (4) years of experience in utilities/solid waste and/or public works maintenance and/or construction, which includes two (2) years of experience in the operation of a variety of heavy and complex construction and/or maintenance equipment.
• Must possess a valid Florida Commercial Driver's License, Class B with Air Brakes.
• Testing will be performed on various equipment at one of our facilities; applicants will be notified by mail.

Responsibilities

• Performs condition assessments of stormwater drainage systems to gather data on performance defects and obstructions that affect conveyance.
• Operates specialized electronic equipment that collects and transmits condition assessment data for stormwater drainage systems.
• Operates specialized software that stores and processes condition assessment data for stormwater drainage systems.
• Prepares technical diagnostic reports, generates service requests to initiate maintenance activities, and provides repair recommendations.
• Performs work site safety responsibilities including MOT, confined space entry, OSHA standards, and proper operation of assigned equipment and vehicles.
• Keeps up-to-date with the latest trends in pipeline inspection software and equipment.
• Performs related work as required.
