Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC. is seeking a dynamic Environmental Technician to join our Northern California team. The role focuses on stormwater inspections at job sites, report preparation, and ensuring compliance with California state permits and regional requirements.

You will also assist with data collection and field sampling. The position requires travel across the region, hands-on field work, and pursuing required certifications (QSP/QSD/QISP).

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college coursework or degree preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and typing/data entry; experience with Asana or similar PM software is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate project needs and updates to clients.
• Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record and the ability to meet company insurance requirements.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Prior SWPPP inspection experience preferred.
• Preferred certifications include: QSP, QSD, QISP.

Responsibilities

• Drive to and from each job site, conduct inspections, and drive company or personal vehicle.
• Monitor weather forecasts daily in preparation for rain events.
• Answer emails from contractors and co-workers promptly.
• Prepare annual reports for jobs and update data quarterly.
• Store reports, photos, and rain data on the company server.
• Sample storm water discharge for qualifying rain events.
• Prepare inspection, sampling, and other reports.
• Conduct water quality monitoring and analysis on job sites.
• Interact with clients.
• Attend trainings to obtain required certifications (QSP, QSD, QISP).
• Represent TCG professionally.
• Maintain regular attendance onsite and in the field.
• Other duties as assigned.
