Job summary

Citrus County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a Medium Equipment Operator for Stormwater to perform unskilled to semi-skilled labor and operate light to medium equipment for road, drainage and right-of-way maintenance.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months in construction, and 1 year operating medium equipment. Valid Florida driver license required or obtain within 30 days; CDL Class A with N endorsement is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months experience in construction, preferably road or bridge work.
• At least 1 year operating and maintaining medium equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate county vehicles and medium equipment following safety policies.
• Operate, maintain, and service equipment for roadways, drainage, and right of ways.
• Maintain records of tasks performed daily and other reports as required.
• Assist with emergency response and disaster preparedness when needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
