Qualifications

Job description

Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is looking for a talented and experienced Civil Engineer or Stormwater Engineer/Designer to join our dynamic Land Group at our Corporate Office in Abingdon, Maryland. This is a full-time position with hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and support the development of innovative design solutions for site layouts, water and sewer systems, roadway and storm drain designs, and more.

  • Prepare soil erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater management and construction stormwater plans, floodplain studies, and grading plans.

  • Collaborate closely with project teams and leadership to meet project goals and exceed client expectations.

  • Utilize your knowledge of Maryland SWM and ESC regulations to guide design and compliance (a strong plus).

What You Bring:

  • A B.S. in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must; experience with Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, or other hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software is a plus

  • Background in water resources engineering, floodplain analysis, and knowledge of wetland delineation/design is highly desirable

  • A team-player mindset with the ability to work independently when needed
