Job summary

University of Florida is seeking a Maintenance and Stormwater Inspector on the Main Campus in Gainesville, FL. You will perform routine inspections, document findings, and support BMPs to ensure compliance with stormwater requirements.

The role involves fieldwork, minor manual labor, data collection for GIS and asset records, and collaboration with trades and engineers. A Florida driver’s license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience.
• Experience in Stormwater inspection preferred.
• Florida Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and post-storm inspections of UF’s Stormwater Infrastructure, document findings via reports, logs, emails, and photos.
• Assist with maintenance of stormwater infrastructure and address deficiencies as directed; assist with scope development for improvements.
• Assist with development and maintenance of utility system records, GIS, and asset management data; use AutoCAD, GIS, and asset management tools.
