Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Professional Engineer – Stormwater to lead civil engineering work on capital Stormwater projects. You will manage scope, schedule, and budgets, review consultant plans, and coordinate with city officials, residents, and stakeholders.

Minimum qualifications include a Texas PE license, a bachelor's in civil engineering, and 4 years of experience (2 in stormwater). The role offers door-to-door community impact, benefits, and a hybrid work arrangement after six

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Four (4) years of professional civil engineering experience, two (2) years related to stormwater management/drainage and infrastructure capital improvement projects.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas; if licensed elsewhere, must obtain Texas registration within six months.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform project management and professional civil engineering work on Stormwater-related capital improvement projects.
• Manage consultants, review plans, schedules, budgets, and contracts; conduct public meetings as needed.
• Review plans to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations; prepare bids and cost estimates.
• Provide support to Engineering Manager and help implement policies and improvements.
