Provo City Public Works seeks seasonal Storm Water Laborers to perform cleaning, maintenance, and basic construction tasks in the Storm Water Division in Provo, UT. The role supports ditch and channel maintenance, piping, and flood response, with opportunities to operate light equipment.

Provo City Public Works is seeking seasonal summer laborers to provide cleaning and maintenance work for the Storm Water Division. Qualified, civic-minded individuals are encouraged to apply.
Pay Rate: $18.00 hourly depending upon skill level and experience. Payment will be made by direct deposit.

Specific schedule to be discussed during interviews. This position will begin as soon as possible and run through approximately Nov 30, 2025.
This work requires burning weeds, bending, carrying, occasional heavy lifting, loading, digging holes, and other excavations; and exposure to adverse weather conditions, working in the river, high noise levels, and pesticides.

Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration. If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
