Job summary

GMB Powerline Services, LLC is seeking a Storm Operations Resources Specialist to support storm response activities, coordinating crew mobilizations, lodging, travel, and vendor coordination. Ideal candidates will have an associate degree or equivalent, 1 year of logistics/administrative experience, and proficiency with Excel and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics coordination, dispatching, or administrative support (utility or construction industry preferred).
• Experience supporting emergency operations or storm response a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and standard office systems.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Customer-service mindset with a focus on accuracy and dependability.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays during storm events.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Storm Operations Resources team with planning and managing crew mobilizations and demobilizations.
• Provide assistance with storm rollouts, working with safety and fleet teams.
• Maintain current crew rosters, contact lists, and deployment readiness information.
• Track vehicle, equipment, and crew assignments during storm events.
• Prepare and distribute daily deployment and tracking reports as directed.
• Arrange travel, lodging, and meal accommodations within company and customer billing guidelines.
• Communicate with vendors, hotels, and supply partners to confirm reservations and resolve logistical issues.
• Assist with ordering and tracking materials, tools, and supplies for storm operations.
• Monitor expenses and assist with billing documentation and reconciliation.
• Provide timely updates and communication to field crews, vendors, and internal leadership.
• Maintain organized records of mobilizations, receipts, and operational reports.
• Support after-action documentation and storm readiness planning.
• Assist in maintaining process checklists and standard operating procedures for storm events.
• Support a team-oriented environment with collaboration and confidentiality.
