Job summary

City of Watauga is seeking a team-oriented worker to perform skilled construction and maintenance on our storm drainage system. You will operate a range of equipment and assist with debris removal, vegetation trimming, and inlet cleaning.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; relevant maintenance experience preferred.
  • Texas driver’s license required; Class A CDL within six months.
  • DOT compliance and City policies knowledge; safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled construction and maintenance work on storm drainage systems.
  • Operate equipment such as mowers, jack hammers, spray guns, and trucks; perform basic maintenance.
  • Assist with cleaning storm drain inlets and flumes; trim vegetation as needed.
  • Set up traffic control and gather delineators, barricades, cones for safety.
  • Respond to inclement weather; participate in on-call emergency operations.
