Job summary

H-E-B seeks a Total Store Sanitation Specialist to maintain department cleanliness and safety, performing comprehensive sanitation across stores and processing areas. The role includes applying cleaning procedures, handling chemicals, and ensuring adherence to SOPs to protect food safety.

You will collaborate with store teams, support customer needs, and participate in late-evening or overnight shifts when required to maintain store standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and safe chemical handling.
• Strong communication skills with customers and team.
• Good time-management and prioritization to meet store needs.
• Basic understanding of product handling and food prep processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain department cleanliness and safety with urgency.
• Deep clean and disinfect processing areas, equipment, and floors.
• Maintain documentation and certifications for chemical handling and sanitation.
• Use cleaning tools and follow the store's chemical program.
• Identify insect/rodent risks and place pest control traps.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation by following SOPs.
• Assist customers and support Store Leaders as needed.
