The Position:
A Stores Specialist at PTPC is responsible for managing inventory, processing materials, and ensuring that employees receive necessary supplies promptly and accurately. This role also focuses on reducing carrying costs and minimizing inventory obsolescence.

Qualifications
Job Responsibilities:
- Create purchase orders for MRO supplies, update pricing and lead times, and place orders with vendors. Expedite emergency maintenance materials as needed.
- Manage inventory efficiently to reduce carrying costs and minimize obsolescence.
- Oversee parts warehouses, including picking and shelving inventory using forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Process, issue, return, and receive materials in the 4Site system.
- Package, insure, track, and ship out repair items, as well as manage outgoing materials such as empty tote bins.
- Assist maintenance and operations personnel in locating required materials.
- Add new materials into the inventory system and adjust stocking parameters with maintenance input.
- Rotate responsibilities with other stores specialists to maintain skill proficiency.
- Perform cycle counting and maintain warehouse housekeeping.
- Ensure quality assurance of incoming materials and maintain MRO materials in warehouses.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in purchasing and parts management
- Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with CMMS, 4Site, and inventory control techniques (preferred).
- Experienced in forklift operation and material transportation, including compliance with DOT hazardous materials regulations.
- Detail-oriented in purchasing, inventory management, and material handling.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills.
Working Conditions:
- The position may require working in various environments, including potentially loud or hazardous areas. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
Employment Terms
- Full-time, exempt
- Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000
- 2 weeks paid vacation
- 9 paid holidays and one paid personal holiday per calendar year.
