Job summary

American Electric Power in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Stores/Inventory Clerk to receive, check, inspect, store and issue materials including returned and reclaimed items. You will operate the MMS system, handle material equipment, perform physical inventories and prepare accurate stores documents.

Candidates should have a High School degree (GED), 1 year in inventory or warehousing, basic computer skills (Maximo, Excel, Word), and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent education (GED).
• One year work experience in inventory control, material handling, warehousing, or related field preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills to use inventory management software such as Maximo; Microsoft Excel and Word experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check, inspect for breakage and defects; identify, count, weigh, sort, store and issue materials from all sources.
• Operate the Materials Management System (MMS) and other office machines.
• Operate material handling equipment such as overhead crane, lift trucks, and other stores equipment.
• Perform physical inventories of material, tools, spare parts and exempt material.
• Load, unload, stock, count and organize equipment and supplies in storage areas.
• Prepare stores documents with accurate data.
