Job summary

Strategic Staffing Solutions is seeking a Stores Attendant for a 12-month W2 contract located in Pataskala, Ohio. The role is onsite with a schedule Mon-Fri 7am-5:30pm, OT as needed.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year in inventory control or warehousing, the ability to operate material handling equipment, and a valid state driver's license. High school diploma or GED required; familiarity with Maximo or Excel is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree or GED.
• Minimum one year experience in inventory control or warehousing.
• Must possess a valid State driver license.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, count and store stores material, tools, and equipment; prepare related paperwork.
• Operate material handling equipment (overhead crane, lift trucks, etc.) as assigned.
• Perform physical inventories of materials and spare parts; maintain organized storage.
• Load/unload, stock, and move equipment and supplies; ensure clean and safe work areas.
• Drive company vehicles to pick up and deliver items as required.
• Adhere to safety rules and report unsafe conditions; participate in training programs.

Location: Pataskala, OH 43062

W2 hourly : up to 22$

Schedule: Mon-Fri 7am-5.30pm, OT is as needed. Scheduled off Wed, Sat, Sun. OT on Wednesdays as needed.

Essential Job Functions & Tasks

• Receive, check, inspect for breakage and apparent defects; identify, count, weigh, sort, store and issue new, returned and reclaimed stores material, tools, supplies and equipment from all sources in accordance with specified procedures and complete related papers; make recommendations and suggestions for improvement.
• Operate material handling equipment such as overhead crane, lift trucks, automotive and other stores equipment as assigned.
• Perform physical inventories of material and supplies, capitalized spare parts, tools and exempt material as assigned.
• Load, unload, pack, unpack, stock, move, count, weigh, sort and arrange equipment, tools and supplies in bins, shelves and storage areas.
• Prepare stores documents as required with accurate and appropriate data.
• Drive company vehicles to pick up and deliver freight, express, parcel post, supplies, material and equipment from and to manufacturers, dealers, agencies and other company locations.
• Maintain equipment, tools and work area in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
• Perform all duties in accordance with company's safety rules, operating regulations and practices and report unsafe conditions and practices.
• Train for and carry out assignments in firefighting, first aid, and other emergency response programs as required.
• Report irregularities and abnormal conditions to the appropriate supervision.
• Assist employees as required.
• Assist in performing necessary stores quality control functions as required.
• Perform similar or less skilled work.

Minimum Requirements

Work Experience

• Work Experience requirement: Through a combination of education and/or experience, must have sufficient knowledge and skills to perform the duties and/or responsibilities listed above, and have the physical capabilities to perform the required work.
• A minimum of one year work experience in inventory control and management, material handling, warehousing, or related experience is required.
• Must possess basic computer skills to use inventory management software such as Maximo; Microsoft Excel and Word experience is also preferred.
• Must have sufficient knowledge and skills to perform the duties and/or responsibilities listed above, and have the physical capabilities to perform the required work.
• Must possess a strong working knowledge of logistics related to shipping and relocating inventory.
• Must understand and perform basic math functions.
• Must be able to work independently and possess good communication skills.
• Must be able to safely lift up to 70 pounds; successful completion of the Physical Ability Test (PAT) is required.
• If a Commercial Drive License (CDL) is required, the incumbent must obtain the CDL within six months of entry into this job classification or vacate the current job classification.
• Must be able to operate material handling equipment including motorized forklifts and road vehicles.
